Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there.

Well for my mom I took her out to eat at Denny's she love Denny's also brought her some roses, ballons, and she love vases and all so got her some little goodies.

But, the biggest gift I gave her was this pretty black and purplish shawl.
My mom brought her a shirt that she loved but, she don't like showing off most of her back so I decided to take her shirt to Walmart with me to find some color yarn that would go great with her shirt. And whipped up this shawl in no time.:)

Work In Progress, All Done

Just another day in my crochet world. Today I finally can report that I finished Nesa tank top or you can say tube top either or works for me. I had a lot of work on this one due to Nesa belly being so big I had a lot of incresing to do on a couple of rows and a lot of trying it on her to make sure that it fits her right and not to tight. So here is Ms. Nesa showing off her fly tank top/tube top.

Close Up on stitches on the back
I love how this turned out on the back.

I also took the time out to make a cute little headband to go with her tank top. Whip this up in like 20 minutes.

100_0842

I used Bernat Cool Crochet yarn with a H hook. Done in single for the front top part, double for the shell stitches at the bottom, and chain stitches for the back part.

I also had to do me a head thing which it isn't a hair rap or a headband it's a hair band. I made it just for me done with CSS done with a H hook also.

To my beloved crochet friends out there have to ask a couple of questions.

1) What crochet hook size do you find yourself working with the most without even thinking about it you find yourself picking up the most?

2) What is your favorite thing to crochet the most?

3) What would you like to crochet that you never crochet before?

4) Do you think you will pass down your love of crocheting down to your kids/nieces or sisters?

5) What is the craziest thing you ever heard someone say to you about you crocheting?

To answer those questions you can copy and paste those to your blog and answer them at anytime. Your choice. Just thought this would be nice to get to know a little bit about my crochet friends out there.

So let me answer my own questions.

1) I have to say the H hook, it's not to big or not to small just right. I have more H hooks then any other hooks.

2) I have to say purses. But, if I could choice more then one I will say purses, and wearable for my girls.

3) I will say some dolls for my girls.

4) I would love to pass it down to my girls. I want my girls to learn it someday and pass it down to there kids then there kids, kids. I think it would be nice. Nothing was pass down to my family like that so I would like to start it with my girls.

5) The craziest I heard from my little cousin. Old people do that why you doing it. LOL

So there you have it thanks for stopping by my blog. Everyone have a great day, night whatever.

Take care.

It's Been Awhile HUH?

Well I've been oh so busy with cleaning my house throwing away things I don't want and trying to sell a couple of things on ebay. But, I am back and want to show off my gift I got from Christina for our Swap Swap Gals "Purse" Swap for April. Oh by the way Christina you did great on the lining of the purses great job.:)

So for those that don't know Swap Swap Gals had a purse swap for April and everyone was partner up with who they will send gifts to and who they will receive gifts from. Christina is the one that is to send to me so I want to show what I got. Also to my Swap Swap Gals, our new theme is up and sign up has now started.:)

100_0813
Ooooooooo look at all the goodies. I got 2 purses, soome candy love me some Twix, thanks for the little dolls and stickers for Nesa and Nellie they love them. I got some purse handles, and a crochet purse pattern they I know I will try to make and some lovely soft yarn.

Thanks again Christina

I see everyone was looking Nellie tank top I got started on Nesa's awhile ago but, due to me beening so busy these days I haven't yet to finish it but, I am still working toward trying to finish it. Don't know about this weekend because she will be gone this weekend and I will need her to keep trying it on to see how it fits. I have to work more with Nesa when it comes to me sewing or crocheting her tops due to her belly being so big I have to try to not make it tight on her belly so far so good.

Here go what I have so far. I make it in a long piece and crochet it together on both ends for the back. I have to increase most of the rows that goes around her belly. I can't do to much open stitches Nesa don't like to show off her belly well her scar so I understand that. but, trying to make it look nice as much as I can.

100_0836
This part will be in the back.

Ok now on with my inspiring projects. I got a couple of books in the mail from ummmm dang somewhere. It when you feel out that little postcard by picking things you like but, you only have to pay a small amount after you get your product. Well I order me 4 books.

This is one of my books.

100_0831

This book is totally inspiring me. But, one thing is that most of the things I come across are things I would love to make for Nesa and Nellie. But, all those things are adult patterns so I guess I may have to work with the sizing to get it to be more for smaller girls.

But, here go a couple that inspire me.

~~Inspire Me~~

For those that don't know me I am always coming across so many things that inspire me to try something new once in awhile. Or I find something very pretty that I so like and don't have a pattern but, would like to do it or make it into my own style. If you know me I don't follow to much patterns I do a lot of free style or winging it if that is what you want to call it. I loved this pretty crochet tank top that I seen on GOLD's blog that she made for herself it's so cute. I used that as a guide to inspire me to do something like that. So I went for it and did Nellie a pretty pink tank top. So wanted to show it off. Since I took a little brake from crocheting for the purses for the swap on Swap Swap Gals so I could do this tank top real quick. Love how it came out it fits Nellie oh so right she loves it and I totally love it myself. So cute. Can't wait to get started on another tank to for now Nesa but, in a different style of course. Have a idea in my head so now have to get it down on to my hook.

So enough about me talking about it let me show you all.

100_0805

Now ok with this pretty sky blue hair rap.

Didn't take long at all to finish this.

Oh also was wondering if there is any of my blogger friends that live in Fort Wayne, Indiana or around Fort Wayne. I ask because I will be going there to visit family and to see how I like it and if I like it may consider moving there so if there is any of my blogger friends around there maybe we can meet up somewhere. :)

Again everyone take care.:)

Hey Blogger Friends

Hey blogger friends I am still around crocheting my butt off. I think I went purse crazy since we have that swap on Swap Swap Gals the theme is "Purses" I have been doing a lot of purses here and there. As most of you all can see purses isn't my weakeness lol. Laura is the one I am sending my swap gifts to. Since Laura checks out my blog sorry can't put pictures of the things I am sending her so so sorry but, believe me I am going to take pictures and I know she is going to be showing all of the things I send her off on her blog. Buy, until then I can still crochet for others.

I remember I was talking about a couple of months about me selling some of my things in a boutique. Well decided to go ahead and start off small I put some of my wallets and coin purses in the boutique the lady that runs the boutique by the way is called WIGGIN OUT BOUTIQUE here in Milwaukee. She is a daughter of my moms friend. She's a nice lady that I found that has been checking out my blog and checking out a lot of my work she is also a crafty lady that does jewelry of her own. But, she was telling me about somethings that I could crochet up and put in her boutique like my purses, those carry along bags I made for Nesa and Nellie and also sew some purses and those newscaps. So off I am to get some of the things ready to put in her boutique. I do get money for every sell in her store not the full price have to get her something for each sell. I just set the sells price and off it goes. YAY me lol. So wish me luck on that as time goes by.

Want to show off my Secret Swap Pal sent me and my girls. For those that don't know the Secret Swap Pal is from Crochetville.

Photobucket
As you can see the picture I got a lot of things that I know I am going to put to use. My Secret Swap Pal is Mom4x from the Ville. So Misty/Mom4x if you is reading this thanks a bunch again I love everything you sent.:)

On with other things like ummmm let's say crocheting. Well I made a friend of mines mom a coin purse and a make up purse for her bday today. She loves red and black so I did red and black. Of course my friend had to pay me for my time lol. So check it out.

Now another finish project of mines.

This is for me.

Photobucket
My hair rap
I totally needed another one. One that is made with thinner yarn since it will be getting hot soon. I still wanted to wear my hair raps every now and then but, wanted it to be more like a lacy like hair rap but, also light weighted.

Other up and coming projects.

Photobucket
These are two different purses they wont be put together. But, as you can see the red and black is a half circle purse and the purple and black is also a half circle purse I have to just finish the other piece to both and to cut of the fabric lining to both and off it goes.

I wanted to use some of my fun fur so I started this purse.
Photobucket
Done in double strands and has Lion Brand fun fur. Pretty huh? Just haven't finished it. I put it to the side for now.

Now I have some things on my mind for some things I like to do for my swap partner. Oh and things I like to put in the boutique. :)

Thanks for stopping by I hope everyone have a happy weekend. :)Take care.

This is what I won aint it so cute.

Photobucket
I gave it to my daughter Nesa since she haven't been feeling so good from being in the hospital and all plus I got tired of fighting her for it lol. :)

Also Laura sent my girls some hair clips and stickers. Thanks Laura :)My girls love them.

Photobucket
Nice huh.:)

Ok now on with the show. My Swap Swap Gals I want to thank you all for sticking with me in the swap blog and doing everything you all can to keep our swaps going. So far so good this will be our 4th month and we is on a roll this month. There will be 7 of us signed up for our "Purse" swap. Also we have a new member Bennance welcome to our Swap Swap Gals.:) Pretty soon I will be getting started on my swap gifts. So wont be able to show pictures of those until my swap partner gets her gifts so I will try to update with other projects I am working on.

Ok now on with my latest projects. I have been doing a couple of more small projects. I did some more coin purses but, they are envelope coin purses. My mom loved the Lion Suede that I done so I made her a blue one. Here it goes here.

All done with a H hook.

I noticed scraps come in handy for something like these. When you have a little extra yarn left and you know it isn't enough for a big project these coin purses comes in handy.

Also wanted to try to do something new. A wallet. So I gave it a try for the first time.

But, for those that was asking how I put my magnet snaps on to my purses this is how

I make some small square like these below. Mainly crochet up a couple of small rows.

Photobucket

With a little extra yarn at the end. I use that extra yarn at the end of the squares so that I can weave it into the crochet stitches on the wallet or purse.

Now here go the wallet

Photobucket
Open now you can see the magnet snaps

Photobucket
Now opened all the way. There is 2 small inside pockets.
Cute huh?

Now after making my first wallet I wanted to make another one but, this one is mines.

Photobucket
Open you can see the magnet snaps.

Photobucket
Opened all the way. Have 2 inside pockets on this one also.

I loved doing these wallets they worked up quickly and done in all one piece.

Now I want to give this wallet a try but, bigger size a checkbook size wallet with more pockets. I know I know will be a little hard but, I can work with it I hope. Practice makes perfect. :)

Also wanted to show off my cards. Everywhere I go people asking me for my number so they can call me to get things sewn or crochet so I got tried of pulling out scraps of paper or trying to find a pen to write down my number so I got me my own cards.

Photobucket
Cute huh?

Thanks everyone for the prayers and great comments on my daughter health she is hanging in there. She has to go to the hospital twice a week now for shots I know she is going to hate the hell out of that. But, she have to go. That surgery she had was a Endoscopy surgery she will have to have that once a month for the next 6 months. Grrrrr I know she will hate that to the fullest. But, we is hanging in there it is stressful but, hoping to not worry to much and think postive.

Thanks for visiting blogger friends. Everyone take care and have a great weekend.:)

Still Here And Kicking !!!!!!!!!!!

I am still here and kicking. Just wanted to update real quick.

Oh to my Swap Swap Gals our April theme will be up and running tomorrow the theme is "Purses" for April. So ladies go ahead and sign up so we can get our April started.
Also there is still lots of room for more people that would like to join in on our Swap Swap Gals blog. Just go to Swap Swap Gals and read the rules and follow the directions and go from there.

Now on with the show.

Daughter Nesa is doing ok so that is a great thing. She still complaining about her stomach hurting so giving her pain meds that her doctor order for her for the pain. She have that endoscopy tomorrow so hoping all goes well with that.
I did go up to Nesa school today to talk to them about what happen before spring brake they didn't like that the little girl kicked Nesa they really hated that the teacher knew and didn't say anything to anyone when she knowns Nesa problem. So the school is handling that to see what they will do. I know that the girl didn't know better but, well she knew not to be kicking feet stay on the ground she is old enough to know that. But, like I said, waiting to see what is next. The was talking about me going to Nesa class to talk to Nesa's class mates and explain to them about what is going on with Nesa. Which I did do when Nesa was in K4 because her K4 teacher understood and thought that was a great idea for me to talk to the kids. So whenever Nesa did miss school due to her being in the hospital all the kids hugged her and asked her how she feeling when she did return to school. I tried to do that this year talk to her K5 teacher to see if I could talk to the kids about it she kept saying she will keep a eye on Nesa and that she will explain to the kids about Nesa but, look what happen anyway. See if I just explain it to the kids I think it wouldn't never got this far to the point now she has kidney problems. Grrrrrrr :(

But, I am making myself anger and mad so let me more on to another topic will keep everyone updated on how Nesa is doing.

I have been crocheting a bit now mainly some small little projects some small change purses. They work up very quick got to do 4 so far in less then 1 hour. I wanted to get back into my crocheting and I thought by starting off with some small projects it will help. I have to say I totally miss my crocheting now I have plans to do more things. Since the April swap for Swap Swap Gals is now starting I have some things I like to do for that as well. Also I want to send off my package to my Secret Swap Pal that is on the Ville didn't get to do much crocheting but, I got to go shopping and get a lot of things for her.

Want to show off my small change purses.

Aint they cute.

OMG :(

Ok where do I start. Want to say I know I know blog hasn't really been getting updated but, have a very good reason the reason not a good reason but, here goes. My daughter Nesa which most of you all know that has a liver diease been in the hospital since March 17th just got out today the 26. So mainly I have been there taking care of my daughter and so trying not to worry as much but, that is hard to do when you see your child is sick.

Where do I start at. Well daughter went to school on the 17th then she came home complaining about her stomach hurt due to Nesa haven't a liver diease it is sometime hard for me to know if it is a hungry feeling or for her to have to do a number two kind of a feeling but, after touching her stomach she yelled and scream so I knew it was more then that. Took her to the hospital and they ran tests like a CT scan took blood work and a ultrasound and found out that well she always had a enlarger liver and a enlarger spleen but, now she has two enlarger kidneys grrrrr if it aint one thing there is another. After the doctor told me that I just couldn't belive this. Her doctor was asking Nesa did she fall on her belly or get hit in her belly then Nesa confused that some little girl at school kicked her in her belly. Now that was what cause the pain that kick caused all that damage mainly to her kidneys and also made her liver backup with bile. Nesa told me she told the teacher the teacher just mainly told the little girl to stop kicking and that was it.

One thing I was most mad at is that the "DAMN" teacher didn't tell me a "DAMN" thing that is the most part that I hated. Her teacher, the nurse at the school they all know about Nesa's condition. Due to her liver diease she isn't to be kicked, punch or fall on her belly they all know that she can't even play doing gym if they is outside. So that is what pissed me off the most. I know I know the little girl is only 6 but, omg this has really pissed me off. Now my daughter has more things wrong with her then before.

So we spent all this time in the hospital Nesa couldn't even enjoy Easter so she had a little nice Easter with my family in the hospital.

Photobucket
Nellie came to see her big sister on Easter in her Easter outfit. :) Awww look at them smile.

Photobucket
My niece just had to see her big cousin. :) awww look at them both cute. If you look more closely you will see my niece have on a shrug I made.

Photobucket
There go Nesa again. Awww happy

Photobucket
Nesa and my niece again.

After so many days of seeing Nesa unhappy and in pain was happy that she started to become herself again. :)

So now I will be busy for a while with other appointments for Nesa she has a Endoscopy (EGD) procedure on April 1st. (EGD) procedure that allows the doctor to see the inside of the esophagus, stomach and small intestine. It's done with a soft flexible tude that is passed down the mouth to the stomach. The doctor can look in the lining of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum on a TV monitor. Of course she will be sleep the whole time.

Then on April 7th she has to have a liver biospy where they cut her just a little while she is sleep and take a piece of her liver to look at it under a microscope.
They isn't to much worry about her kidneys because her urine is ok but, they is keeping a close eye on that. They is also thinking about removing her spleen all together because now her spleen is now bigger then her liver.

Then we have to go from there to see what is next. Liver transplant may be what will be next. So everyone keep Nesa in your prayers.

Not much crocheting and sewing. For those that has kids you all will understand when you have a sick child how can you pick up your hook and enjoy it.

So wanted to update you all real quick. My Swap Swap Gals blog will be still going on will hopeful list the next swap voting up soon hopefully today. To get everyone ready for next month.

Sorry Christina haven't been able to do the swap email/ecard but, I guess after reading my blog you now know why.

Keep Nesa in your prayers hoping all goes well.

Also thanks for stopping by.

Will tryong to get to my blogger friends blogs soon to caught up on what everyone is doing. :)Take care everyone.

Another Friday In My World Of Crafting

Just another Friday have a bit to report not much. My wrist has been killing me badly doctor says I have carpal tunnel due to me crocheting and typing way to much. She said, I need to slow down a bit. I am like easy said, then done. What she don't get is that my crocheting is stress relief for me. I left the doctor office and went to buy me a wrist wrap to wrap around my wrist for when I am crocheting and typing. She said, that will help my wrist not to bend to much while crocheting and typing. So I took her advice. I also noticed my wrist hurts more after crocheting something that takes double strand. I noticed that when it's single strand my wrist don't hurt as much. "Damn carpal tunnel" Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

But, I am taking her advice. I just have to remember to put it on before crocheting or typing.

Other words on with the show. I see a lot of bloggers have a couple of blogging contests going on I want to do one myself but, waiting until a couple of other bloggers I know contests to end then I want to give my idea for a contest a try so look for that soon. Hints mines going to be for crocheters only sorry to my sewer bloggers out there. I will give everyone 1 week that's 7 days to finish up for the contest. Also the winner will get the grand prize but, there will also be a prize for the second and third place. Of course everyone get's to vote to figure out the winners. All prizes will be made by you know ME. That's it that's it that's enough hints lol. So sometime next week I will list my first blog contest.

Also still debating if my sister and I going to do our contest she and I been so busy we haven't yet to get on the same page. I told her I think she just scared that's all lol.

About my black jacket I was doing. I decided to put that down for this weekend and try to get back to it next week or so. I got tried of fighting with it lol.

Since spring is here I wanted to start on sewing a couple of spring and summer outfits for my girls so have to go fabric shopping. I have a lot of ideas in my head for some outfits for my girls. Plus you know me I do recyle/recon work so some of there jeans and shirts they have now they will still wear in the summer but, it will be all redone over.

Now on with some updated projects I worked on for the pass 2 days. I am still in my crocheting purses rut if that's what you want to call it. Haven't thought of much other things to crochet and the things I do think of is all something wearable that I know will take much time so trying to stick with some simple projects.

I did this pretty purse.

Now on with a quick sewing project.

I needed a new dinning area curtain so I whipped this up real quick. Found the fabric at Walmart for a dollar a yard so I got 2 yards.

Love this fabric it isn't to to white it's a cream frosty type color. Since my dinning room is a cream and red color this fabric came in handle. Didn't have much as you can see on the picture it was long enough but, not as wide as I thought it would be. I was thinking about crocheting up some tassles or something for the side of the curtain.

I tried out one of my stitches from my Brother's sewing machine on the curtain so it wont look so plain. I totally love my new sewing machine at times can't make up my mind what stitch to use. I am not done with stitch pattern have a lot more to do but, wanted to give you all a tester first on how the stitch pattern will look.
