DD Halter Top DD Summer Dress (Sewing Project)

Well finally sat my butt down at the sewing machine been crocheting so much that my sewing machine started to get a little dusty lol. But, I had brought 2 different kind of fabric from Walmart. They have the elastic at the top to make it fit your chest. They had them in so many colors that I had to get 2 different kind to make my girls something nice for the summer.

My 2 yr old to the left I made hers into a summer dress and my 4 yr old I made into a halter top and it ties up around her neck. She wanted a dress but, due to her being born with a liver disease her belly is so large that when I tried to get the fabric to fit like a dress it was to high up in the front where her belly was so I had to cut hers down to a halter top. The fabric is pink and white checker board pattern. Was very quick to do just some measuring and sewing up the ends.

Again to the left my 2 yr old has the summer dress but, I found some ribbon like flowers that I put on the dress so it can tie around her neck with some extra fabric from her dress. My 4 yr old also has it going around her neck and she has on the halter top. Fabric is purple with white and pink flowers. :)

Daughter Tube Top 4 years old (Crochet)

Ok finally done with tube top number two. Daughter is happy she got tired of me telling her to come here to try it own lol. But, she got to help me out a bit picking the colors she wanted and picking the crochet stitches from my crochet books. All the stitches are single, double, half double using a H hook. I also put a bit of elastic at the top and at the top for the second piece that goes around her back to give it that fit fit feeling plus so that the yarn not wear off to quick from going on and pulling off all the time. I learn from my pass mistakes from making shirts and skirts that if I don't put in any elastic it tends to stretch and not get it body back to the yarn. :)

So check out the pictures:)

Daughter's Tube Top (Crochet)

Well been in the creative mood for now the pass 2 days and went ahead and made my 2 year old daughter a tube top. Did my own pattern mainly using a couple of different kind of stitches like double, single, slip, and back stitch. Just was being creative and it came out just nice love it. Whip stitch some round cord elastic around the top of the tube top to give it that stetching feeling then I did a single stitch so I could hide the elastic. Here is some pics of my little girl.
