Look What I've Been Busy Doing

I've been very busy been making some extra money but, also got a chance to take some pics of somethings I've made. This coin purse was done for my mom.

Done in single stitches with a G hook. Also chain stitches for the ruffle edges to give it a little design to it.

Also there are 2 black buttons for design and also to hide the back of the magnet snaps that is on the coin purse to help keep it closed.

My first time doing a coin purse and I think it came out ok. My mom wanted it in black but, I wanted to give it color but, shoot it's her's so wanted to do it like she wanted it now I want to make me one in some COLOR lol. But here it goes.

My friend daughter got to pick her yarn so these are the colors she picked out of alllllllllll my yarn lol.

Had some yarn left and asked her did she want a little purse she said yeah.


I call this a skirt purse.

Dont mind my daughter she was a little upset that the purse wasn't her's so now I have to make her one also.




This purse have 2 layers. The dark purple below was done with a J hook in single stitches worked in a round. The second layer on top was done in double crochet backstitches with a H hook. Very kiddie like but, now I want to make me one but, bigger.




Now here goes my daughter's bookbag

My daughter liked my carry along bags but, she wanted me to do a bookbag for her that can fit her coloring books and folders so I came out with this here.

I mainly went by the width and height of a large school folder. My daughter picked the colors. And we both got to work together I had her practicing some single stitches showing her how to work the yarn. She's only 5 years old but, I can say proud to say she can do single stitches.

I added a buckle which that was what she wanted. Did some little ruffles around the bookbag straps and around the flap. Put a little hook holder at the top. Was going to put fabric in it but, she said she didn't want it. But, going to do her another bookbag with fabric in it. I think it would hold up it's weight more with books and folders if it had fabric in it.


There you have it a little of my busy work :)

More Charity Squares

Keep coming across some very nice ladies on the net. Received these today and have to say I love the squares there is one of the squares I love a lot and I sent her a message letting her know I wont put it on my daughters blanket I want to put it on her backpack because the yarn and color is the same as the yarn and color I will be using for my daughters backpack.

Been very busy trying to get my online forum moving along. I haven't been crocheting like I normally do I also haven't been sewing in awhile which I will get back to that due to a lot of people wanting me to do purses for them. I know a couple of women that want me to sew them up some halter tops. I have to say need to make my money lol. :)

Started my own forum (Crafty Chicks)

I have a lot of reasons why I started this forum.
Ok I have a couple of hobbies and I find myself going to 3 or 4 boards just to get that advance I need in my hobbies. Plus to many admin on board and groups complain to much about what should and shouldn't be posted and so on. I say don't give out your information like real name and address then you is ok. That's what I say. But, it was to much controling when it came to groups and boards I posted on so I felt ok I can do my own forum open up this forum for all hobbies not just one or 2. So that's what I did. I also asked everyone to give me feedback on what they think should be added to the board. That's the only way everyone can be happy that's how I see it. So here is my link to my forum come in and register and make yourself at home. I am the Admin so you will find me under Lesalicious :)
At this point I have 42 members on the board WOW amazing when I just started the board yesterday. I also listed my board to show up on Google and looking to find sites that is able to list my board so I can get more people to join. :)

WIP (My Daughter Donated Square Blanket) 25%

Well for those that don't know a couple of wonderful women on Crochetville donated some squares to make my daughter Nesa a nice blanket. Due to her waiting a new liver I want her to have a nice comfortable blanket for her doing that time. So far I got 25% of it done. I wanted to give the ladies a quick overall view of how the squares are coming along still have LOTS more to get done but, wanted to update everyone on it.

I have a couple of the squares weave together and so far a couple of rows sewn together. Here is a update below.:)

TGIF/Quick update

Well thanks goodness it's Friday. Been trying to catch up on house work kids driving me crazy lol aint that's always. Trying to see if I can have the weekend to myself this weekend. Been trying to take care of my oldest daughter blanket that I've been trying to put together so far I've been weaving everything together. Still have more people that will be sending squares so want to fit those into the the blanket this blanket is going to be a very big one. Lots of squares thinking about if I can't get them all into the blanket will use the rest to make her a pillow want to put them all to work. Other words I haven't been sewing in awhile took a brake from that since I'm trying to catch up with my crocheting that I did take a brake from due to my wrist hurting to much. But, anyways kids doing ok running around playing messing up the house you know kids stuff. Here is a quick update.

Update on my sewing projects well just looked over at my WIP sewing projects and surely I have to get busy plus I have some young girls that stay over here by me that would like for me to make them a couple more tank tops and halter tops. Yeah I will need to make some extra money there. Then sometimes next week want to take the kids to Great America don't know when but, sometimes next week. Since I am going to be making a little extra money this weekend so might as well get spending it. Please if it wasn't from my kids wearing off what I make people wont be coming up wondering where they got there outfits. When I say I made it they be so suprise then the want me to make them or ther girls something nice. Oh also my mom's friend daughter is opening up a wig store she wants to sell other things besides wigs she want to sell hats and scarfs and more but, after she seen the backpacks I've made my girls she ask me would I like to make some to put in her store and she will pay me for sure. I was happy to say yes. But, I also want to make more differnt kind of backpacks not just stay on the same thing to long like to change it up so after I finish my daughters back to school backpack I want her to check it out and let me know how she likes it. I also want to open up my crocheting a little bit more. After all these ladies that have been sending me squares and dolls and so on and so on make me want to try to do the toys like a rabbit or something that I can make into a backpack. I was thinking about that just a thought that I think I will do. Like a square like backpack for my daughter but, have the flap on the backpack be a face and make legs at the bottom of the backpack and make arms. Or was thinking about doing a small carry along backpack like that for my little girl. Because for my oldest daughter I need something that is able to fit in all the things she need for school. :) Ok got to go check on my chicken that I'm cooking for dinner tonight. :)

More wonderful ladies from Crochetville

Lovely how nice these ladies are from around the world have received more squares to do my daughters blanket due to my daughter being born with a liver disease they like to help out to help me make her a nice blanket. I thought it would be great for her to have to comfort with doing her time in the hossy. I just haven't yet to have the enough time to do all the squares myself due to these ladies wanting to help out basely gave me a little extra boost. I started weaving together the blanket and still finding all the colors I want to add to the blanket to make it pretty. Well it's already pretty it just going to be a very very colorful blanket. She named it her Blanket'a' Tear. So here are some more wonderful squares I've received.

Tackle Tuesday

I decided to join "Tackle it Tuesday" this will help me to get my butt into gear. I started late on my tackle today mainly my tackle was to get going on organizing my hallway closets because omg they are a mess. My hall closet became the junk area to things my kids don't play with anymore to things I hide from myself to old junk mail that I just have not yet getting to throw things away. I open the closet today and see how mess it was going back to phone books that is date back to 2004 lol crazy huh lol. But, I got to get a little bit up and got to throw out 2 bags of garbage that I don't see coming back into this house. My tackle for next Tuesday haven't yet decided what it can be. I have a lot of WIP for my sewing, crocheting and latch hook that I think I have to tackle for the rest of the week. Wish me look :)

Was going though some old clothes that I seem to not wear anymore so instead of throwing them out I decided to go ahead and do some recons for my daughters this here is my 2 yr old and her pretty halter top.

My DD Summer Shirt

Found this fabric at Walmart for 1 dollar a yard so had to get it and whip up a nice shirt for my 2 yr old thinking about making her a denim skirt and use this fabric as ruffles for the bottom of the skirt. But, here it goes :)

My mail-lady said, I am going to take your computer away lol. I had so many packages today. I had to warn her I have more coming this week. So she have her eyes open for them.

My 4th Of July Girls/Carry Along Backpack 2

Wanted to do something different for my girls this year so used to buying they 4th of July outfits decided to crochet them a nice outfit for the 4th here go my girls. :) hope you all love them just as much as we do. :)

Back with 2 straps that really is one whole strap. Also a drawstring that helps to close up the bag. Very colorful aint it she pick out all the colors she wanted more colors but, thought that that was going to be to much for just a little bag lol. :)

Got some packages today from 3 wonderful women from Crochetville. I want to keep everyone in the loop as I get the packages up until the my daughter's Nesa blanket is complete I want these wonderful women to know that they hard work is being put to get use and that is to make my daughter a nice pretty but, colorful blanket for her to have for comfort when it's time for her to have her liver transplant.
